Due to the Excessive Heat Warning in effect for St. Louis through this Thursday night (August 24), we are rescheduling this week’s Trail Run Series Race 4 to next Thursday, August 31. Nothing will change about your registration except for the date, and nothing will change about the race location. You will still pick up your bib at the same Race HQ as you have all series long, just a week later than expected.
With race time temperatures expected to be at least 98 degrees and a Feel Like Temperature of 106 with a dew point of 73 degrees, we have made the decision to err on the side of caution and reschedule.Â
This is the first time that we know of in Trail Run Series history that we have rescheduled a race due to an Excessive Heat Warning. Numerous races have been rescheduled due to unusable trails at Castlewood in the past (a problem we have not had to deal with at Queeny Park, thank goodness), but heat, even with over a decade of August races under our caps, has never been the reason before now. We appreciate your understanding.
