Tour of Hermann Rider Essentials

What are the distances?
There are five completely different loops. You can do 1, 2, 3, 4, or all 5 loops. It is completely up to you!
Day 1 – Three approximately 30+ mile loops.
Day two – Two approximately 50+ mile loops.
All 5 loops = approximately 200 total miles

Who Can Participate?
You must be able to self-support on the ride (mechanically, water, and nutritionally) with a working bike and a helmet. Racers under 18 must have a parent with them to sign the race liability waiver.

Event Requirements:

• We do not post a minimum age requirement for this event. If you are a parent considering signing your child up, you are the best judge on whether or not they are up to the task. However, racers under 18 must have a parent with them to sign the race liability waiver.
You must be able to self-support on the ride (mechanically, water, and nutritionally) with a working bike and a helmet.
• Riders may participate as either a solo or tandem rider. Tandem participants must also register the second rider in the group at the time of registration.

Participant Race Capacity: 300 total riders

• We use a mass start for the first loop of each day at 8 am. All participants are chip-timed.

• Cut off time to start Loop 3 on Day 1 is 2:30 pm.
• Cut off time to start Loop 5 on Day 2 is 1:00 pm

AFTER EACH LOOP:

• Each time you cross the finish line after completing a loop, you immediately begin the timer for your next loop. Just like in a triathlon, your transition times are included in your total time.
• Before you begin your next loop, or if you decide not to begin another loop, you must check-in at the registration table.
