RESULTS: 08-08-24 | What A Night For A Run

BALLWIN, MO- After one of the hottest doggone races in recent memory, we couldn’t have been rewarded with better weather in Queeny Park for the second race of the 2024 series. With temps hovering around 80 degrees, it was the perfect night to go for a run with pals and have a City Wide from 4Hands Brewing Co. after!

Steven Stallis (33) did what he has done at every trail race he has come to: win. Recording his 6th straight win in as many tries, he’s been a dominant presence in the results. Second place went to Andy Rains (31) followed by Aaron Barber (24) for the exact same top 3 result as last week for the overall race.

The Women’s race had another new victor this week as newcomer and Hope College athlete, Shelby Bolser, took the top spot on the Women’s race. Nikki Difani was bumped to second place this week and Sloane Montgomery made a Trail Run Series debut in 3rd place to finish up the Women’s open.

For the Master’s race, Mike Barro pulled out another victory for the second consecutive week with a firm lead on the Master’s race. Kevin Kozuszek found himself in second place once again as he was chased by Eric Buckley for third, just 5 seconds behind him. For Women’s Masters, Jen Ullery once again pulled out a race win as she was absent from last week’s race. Susan Richmond wasn’t far behind, good for second place with Jill Hollander rounding out the W’s Masters podium.

Week 3’s course will be revealed on Monday. We still have single race spots available for $35. Sign up here to reserve your spot since walk up bibs can go fast as we saw this week. Big thanks to Optimal Performance Centers, The North Face and On Running for bringing out demo shoes, Great Harvest of Kirkwood for the complementary snacks, and 4Hands Brewing Co. for the good times and City Wide and City Wide Light!
