GRAY SUMMIT, MO- The North Face Shaw Bloom 10k/20K Trail Run returned in 2025 with an absolutely perfect day for a run at Shaw Nature Reserve. This year the course faced some last minute changes due to flooding, but we were able to revise and adjust the course to about a 5.9 mile loop for our runners. At 8:30am we had 38 racers take off for the 20k, followed by 123 racers for the 10k at 9am.
Chris Sandefur took off hot in the 20k and never took a step out of first place once he was there. He ran a blistering 01:13:25 and had a solid lead over 2nd place Carson Rohan followed by Jason Lievanos.
Allegra Pierce started at the front of the Women’s race and never looked back. Allegra had an overall time of 1:40:35 to top 2nd place, Anna McAtee, and April Clemens in 3rd.
The 10k race had a flavor of it’s own with a missed turn. Several racers snuck up on the finish line in the 36 minute range after a missed turn (If you notice you’re posted in the results and know you missed the turn, please email jsnyder@alpineshop.com). Ben Cobin won the 10k with a time of 44:49.8 followed by Sean Pack and Andy White.
Stephanie Weisenfelder took the top spot on the Women’s side with a time of 53:49.2 closely followed by Ellen Morrison and in 3rd place, young Aiden Lawler.
