The Meramec Marathon Paddle Race is on pause for 2026. Check back with us throughout the year for updates on 2027.
Join us for 26 miles of fluid raceway for the eighth year of the Meramec Marathon Paddle Race. Your strength and stamina will be put to the test as you take on the meandering Meramec River in your choice of kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard.
In sticking with Alpine Shop tradition, we host the afterparty at the finish line with beer sponsored by 4Hands Brewing and will give away loads of prizes. So make sure to stick around and plan your next paddle trip!
2025 Course is posted
The 2025 long course starts on the Meramec River at Pacific Palisades Conservation Area and finishes at Greentree Park in Kirkwood. The short course starts near the Al Foster Trail Head and finishes at Greentree Park in Kirkwood.
One of the longest free-flowing waterways in Missouri, draining 3,980 square miles while wandering 218 miles from headwaters near Salem to where it empties into the Mississippi River near St. Louis at Arnold and Oakville
