BALLWIN, MO. – The fourth and final course for the 2019 Alpine Shop Trail Run Series is FITS Sock Co. Night! We’re pleased to welcome David Olson, from FITS Sock Co., who will be on hand with us. The first 150 people to arrive at Check-In with a Full Series registration are eligible to receive a free pair of FITS Sock Co Light Runner–Low Socks (retail $17.99!)*. First come, first served on all sizes and styles.
The actual course, well, that may take a bit. The traditional final course has always been up the Grand Staircase on the south side of the park. But with the flooding from earlier this year and the potential for even more rain this week, that may have to change. So, we will be announcing the actual course Thursday morning when we can get the best idea of the trail conditions we’re facing. Please note that unless we face lightning or flooding conditions, we will make every effort to run the race on Thursday, while still making sure we do everything we can to protect the trails. This could mean anything from a delayed starting time to a shortened course, or both.
As always though, Race HQ will feature Urban Chestnut Brewery Company, BBQ along with Optimal Performance Center for all of your chiropractic needs and The North Face campsite set up! Since this is the final race of the series, we’ll be drawing 10 people’s names to go into the hat for the full 2019 The North Face / Off-Road Racing League year-long prize “On the Trail Prize Package” of the entire campsite you’ve seen at each race this year.
Besides the FITS Socks giveaway, we’ll also have two more pairs of Altra Running footwear to give to two lucky participants, plus whatever other great prizes we end up with our hands on!
At the end of the race, we will proudly announce the Four-Race Series winners for both overall and masters levels. Every single division could still change drastically depending on the results of the race, despite the fact that we’ve had the same four champions each of the past two weeks.
