Congratulations to the more than 270 people who conquered the gravel roads around the beautiful wine country of Hermann, Mo., on May 1 and 2, in Alpine Shop’s and the Off-Road Racing League’s first bike race since 2019.
With 200 miles of gravel begging to be ridden, 300 racers traveled to Hermann Missouri to compete in the sold out return of The Tour Of Hermann. From the near perfect weather to seeing all the smiling faces we could not have asked for anything better to restart our events at Alpine Shop.
With the start of the race on May 1 and 2, racers set out to ride the 5 loops of the race. The course took all riders trough gorgeous landscape from the Katy Trail to the back roads of Hermann, Mo. No matter if you just started riding or have been crushing gravel for years, this race put everyone to the test.
This year, the sense of community that was built over the weekend between racers was truly amazing to see. We witnessed competitive riders stopping to offer advice to beginners to improve their riding, others rode with complete strangers who needed some motivation, and others stuck around to cheer on individuals who beat personal goals. Thank you to everyone who was apart of this community at The Tour of Hermann. It was truly one of a kind.
