Due to last week’s wash-out, we’ve had to shuffle a few things around. Here are the main things you need to know before coming to the park tomorrow, Thursday, August 14:
Race Course
We’ll use the same course we planned on using last week (and pictured below). It’s just under 4.5 miles and features two climbs along with our first creek crossing of the young series. Due to the way we set this series up, with mileage usually increasing as the weeks continue, it only makes sense to use this course this week.
Race Bibs
We will be using the bibs that were handed out during the Packet Pick-up Party. If you haven’t picked up your bib yet, you have nothing to worry about. Just pick yours up beginning at 5 pm on Thursday at Race HQ at Castlewood State Park just past the Kiefer Creek Road bridge.
If you are an individual race registrant and have a bib for last week’s race, we will ask you to keep that bib until the September 4 re-scheduled race. If you would prefer to switch your registration to a different race, we ask that you contact us at adventure (at) alpineshop.com as soon as possible. We’ll have you bring the existing bib with you to the race and exchange it for a new one.
Please note, if you are an individual race registrant who already picked up your bib and attempt to run in this week’s race (or the next two races following) without changing your registration with us, you’re time will not be posted and you will forfeit your registration for the September 4 race.
Finally, for series registrants, following this race, you will pick up a new bib for each and every race at race HQ before the competition starts. If you have any questions, please let us know.
