Trail Run Series Runner Essentials

Event Requirements:
• We do not post a minimum age requirement for this event. If you are a parent considering signing your child up for the Trail Run Series, you are the best judge on whether or not they are up to the task. Please see the time limits below for all participants. However, racers under 18 must have a parent with them to sign the race liability waiver.
• Unfortunately, due to the nature of the trails we use for this event, this event is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Early Bird Registration:
Through Monday, July 14th, registration will be $75 for the series and $30 per single race. After July 14th and through August 6th, the price will go up to $95 for the series and $35 per single race. On-site registrations, if available, will be $95 for the series (only available on August 6th if we haven’t sold out at that point), or $35 for a single race.

Race T-Shirts: T-shirts are included as part of the series registration. If you are only signing up for a single race, you may also buy a t-shirt for $15 at the time of registration – but this offer is only available through Early Bird Registration. After July 14th, shirts will not be available for purchase with single race registrations.

Participant Race Capacity: 250 total runners

Start and Time Limits:
We use a mass start for all races in this event at 6:15 pm. All racers are chip timed according to the “gun” time.
• According to Park regulations, we must have the park cleared by sun down for each event. Due to these rules, all participants must be able to keep approximately a 20-minute/per mile pace to ensure their ability to complete the course. On certain courses, Alpine Shop may post officials at pre-determined locations. If participants are not through those spots by a certain time, officials may ask those participants to return to race HQ through a shortened route.

Packet Pick-Up:
Packets will be available in two locations at different times:
• Alpine Shop Kirkwood on Wednesday, August 6th from 4pm until 7pm.
• On-Site at Queeny Park on Thursdays in August beginning at 5 pm.

Race Bibs:
All race bibs are one-time-use only and assigned to you for a specific race, even if you signed up for a series. You may even have the same number each race. You will receive a new bib for each successive race – your first is in your packet, all others will be picked up before the race each Thursday. Please do not use bibs at a race other than the race indicated. Please do not re-use bibs; this violates our timing contract and results in a DNF for you. PLEASE NOTE: Different colored bibs are used for each race. It’s very easy for us to tell if you have an incorrect bib on.

Weather-Related Cancellations / Emergencies:
Unless the Rangers at Queeny Park declare the trails unusable, the race will proceed rain or shine. Severe weather may cause us to alter start times and/or the specific trails used for the race. Absolutely no refunds will be issued for any race that is delayed, changed or cancelled.

Find information concerning weather or other race day changes at www.offroadracingleague.com, and at Alpine Shop’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
