The 2022 Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge kicks off this Saturday, April 30 in the beautiful Missouri wine country surrounding Hermann, Mo.
First of all, our thanks to all of you for being patient. We did make some changes to two loops in the interest of rider safety. We’ll detail those changes below. We also have been “lucky” enough to have our hosting service be hit with multiple DDoS attacks this week, leading to a number of times when we’ve been unable to access our own site to get you information. In case this happens again during the weekend of the event, please visit alpineshop.com for further information. We will have a Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge banner on the home page with a link to further information.
Loop Changes:
The loops remain mostly the same with two exceptions. We have made significant changes to Loop 3 for two reasons: 1.) to reduce the amount of time riders would have to be on HWY 100 on a potentially wet surface, and 2.) to bring total mileage for all five loops back up to 200 miles after last year’s change that dropped us down to about 194 total miles. That change came about due to adjustments we had to make last year to Loop 4 due to bridge work. We have decided to keep the change in the interest of rider safety and keeping the Tour off of that stretch on HWY 94 that features a number of blind turns and potential danger to our participants.
Cue Sheet:
A full cue sheet will be included in your packet, but may also be downloaded here.
GPX Files:
The gpx files linked below are zip files that include the full day’s ride for Saturday or Sunday. You will need to download them and decompress them before uploading to your bike computer, watch or phone.
We provide full day files, instead of loop by loop, so you won’t need to restart your Garmin or other GPS device in between loops.
Saturday All Loops GPX file • Sunday All Loops GPX File (as noted above, these are .zip files and must be decompressed before uploading to your device)
If you aren’t doing all of the loops, you can download them individually from a desktop by following the MapMyRide link below and clicking the “MORE” button on the right, then select your format. You must do this from a desktop computer. Mapmyride.com does not include the “More” button on it’s mobile platform for some reason. Each loop can be found below.
