HERMANN, MO. – Day One of the 2023 Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge was a warm and a humid affair after the early morning hours, but 44 riders are still in the mix to complete all five loops as Day Two gets ready to head out on Loop Four on Sunday morning.
The Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge is composed of up to five loops over two days. Day One features three loops with as little as 29.76 miles or as much as 102.36. Day Two has two loops with up to 99.14 miles on the docket. Riders may complete as many loops as they like over the two days, but must complete the loops in order and on the day they are offered. (e.g. Riders may choose to do only Loops one and two on Day One, and then complete only loop four on Day Two; but they would not be allowed to do Loops one and three on Day One and then go for Loop five on Day Two. Make sense?) Total mileage for the two days is 201.5 miles with over 11,785 feet of elevation gain over the five loops.
