RESULTS: 05-05-24 Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge

HERMANN, MO- The Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge kicked off Saturday morning with riders ready to face some of the toughest hills Missouri has to offer. With temps expected to be in the 80s, riders were prepared for a hot day and 3 total loops for 101 miles and over 7,000 feet of climbing on Day 1. And for anyone looking to complete the entire course, they would have to tackle the remaining 99 miles on Day 2 and yes, more hills.

Day One started out with lead out of town to the Katy Trail where things got started for the racers. The lead group took off and never looked back as they came in from Loop 1 in a group of about 10 riders looking to hang on to each others wheel as they faced a tough loop 2. That’s where Jordan Kuiper started building his lead as he found himself with an 8 minute advantage over the field.

Day Two welcomed cooler temps and an overcast sky, making for a fast day with riders leaving it all on the course. The hard packed gravel offered speed to those that wanted it, and the leaders took advantage. They pushed to make some time, but couldn’t quite topple the giant as Jordan sealed the victory for the second year in a row. Who will it be in 2025? Jordan punched his ticket for his return, will you?

Registration will reopen soon!
