Hello Everyone,
It has come to our attention that we had someone in attendance at Race 1 on August 5, 2021 that has tested positive for Covid-19. The person did not race, but was in attendance at the post-race event. The individual stayed within a small group of racers at the event. They have contacted each of those racers, individually, since discovering the positive test. No one has shown any signs or symptoms of the virus, except for the person with the positive test; they have exhibited a runny nose with headaches and no fever.
As we have said before, it is important – even in an outdoor setting like this event – that we social distance when possible, use the hand-wash stations, sanitize at food lines, and take all necessary precautions to protect ourselves and other racers. While we do not require any one to wear a mask at the start of the event or during the post-race party, please know we fully support those who feel safer doing so. Most importantly, if you are showing any signs of illness or showing possible signs of Covid-19, please stay home. We want to make this a safe event for everyone involved.
Thank you to everyone who came out for our first race. It was an incredible time to see everyone come out and hit the trails and we’re excited for this week’s race.
