BALLWIN, MO – One week after a second place showing in his first series event, Caleb Brackett took home his first win at the second race of the Alpine Shop 2014 Spring Trail Run Series on Thursday , May 8. On a warm and humid night with clouds building throughout the evening, Castlewood State Park stayed dry enough for all runners to complete the 3.6 mile course.
Brackett finished in a time of 24:25.4 about a half a minute ahead of second place finisher and top female, Sunny Gilbert (25:06.6) who continued her dominance of the series on the women’s side. Matthew Coryell was just three seconds behind her for third place overall.
