Race week has arrived… and so has the flood. Due to Castlewood State Park’s location on the Meramec River, flooding has already affected much of the southern section of the park and will continue to worsen through this Wednesday’s crest at near-record levels.
We will not be able to race this Thursday, May 4.
For complete series runners, all races will be pushed back a week with the first race beginning on Thursday, May 11 and now continuing each Thursday through June 1. If you have registered for an individual race, race 1 has now been rescheduled to Thursday, June 1. All other races will stay on their original dates. If the weather dictates that we reschedule further, you will be the first to know. Please note, we do not offer refunds for rescheduled races.
We will still have our packet pick-up party this Wednesday, May 3 from 6–8 pm at Alpine Shop Kirkwood, brought to you by Terrain Magazine and Skratch Labs Nutrition. We will be making Scratch-a-ritas in honor of Cinco de Mayo coming up this Friday. Plus you can also pick up your complimentary pair of FITS running socks! If you can’t make it to the party, your packets will be waiting for you on Thursday, May 11 at Castlewood.
