Looks like we’re in for a beautiful day on Thursday, August 15, and Alpine Shop’s Trail Run Series will take advantage of the weather and head into a new section of Castlewood State Park. Runners will get their first taste of Castlewood’s famous bluffs overlooking the Meramec and their first creek crossing of the year in a 4+ mile course. If you haven’t registered yet, what are you waiting for? Register here.
The start and finish line remain near the horse trailer turn-around and will follow the same exact course to begin with until we reach the area by the Keifer Creek Bridge. Instead of immediately crossing the road, we’ll instead follow the road across the bridge and then make a right turn. The first climb of the day will head up to the top of the bluffs to the overlook and then follow the Lone Wolf Trail down to the first creek crossing of the series across Kiefer Creek. The course then heads back towards the Park Office, across the road once again to the Midway/Office Connector on the North side of the park. Instead of the Grotpeter trail, we’ll hit the Rollercoaster and then down the Fern Glen Connector and back to the Finish line. It should be a challenging, but extremely fun course for everyone.

As usual, links to the final results will be posted right here at offroadracingleague.com and hosted by Big River Running Company.
Any changes to the course or other race-related information will posted on this site and at Alpine Shop’s Facebook page and Twitter account.
