Get excited, friends!

It’s time for the 2025 Tour of Hermann! We’re picking up our shopping orders, beers, and prizes for this weekend and we’re stoked to see all of you!

Here’s the list of the details you’ve been waiting for:

-Packet Pick-Up
Thursday 5/1 Kirkwood Alpine Shop 5-7pm
Friday 5/2 Race HQ 5-7pm
Saturday 4/3 Race HQ 7-7:45am
Sunday 4/3 Race HQ 7-7:45am
Yes we have walk ups and yes you can pick up for your friends!

-Bibs/transitions through HQ
Please mount them on your bars/cables/something up front so we can see it and read it as you come through the chute. We’re double checking we have your time and don’t leave until we put your sticker on your bib! Also, DO NOT FOLD OR CUT YOUR BIBS OR WE’LL FOLD AND CUT YOU! It can damage the chip and makes them useless and all of us sad. I wont fold and cut you. I’ll just be sad.

-Course
Everything is correct on the website. Yes the file says 2022, but it’s right. It’s the whole day in each file too, so you just come through the chute and follow our signs to head back out. No need to open a new file on your GPS. A GPS is your friend out here, or make a friend that has one. Yes we will mark the course with flags and paint, however, we have had issues with vandalism in the past. This is a self supported ride and if you are unsure, grab a cue sheet. Those are also available to print on the site as well. https://offroadracingleague.com/tour-of-hermann-course-maps/

-Aid Stations
We’re a small crew this year, and I don’t know that we’ll be able to have fully stocked and staffed aid stations on the course this year. If possible, we will at least have unmanned aid stations with coolers on the course. There will be specific details on race day. Regardless, you’ll never go more than 30 miles on day one until your back or 50 on day two, so plan accordingly!

-Saturday Meal
Our amazing friends at Westwood Catering are feeding us! Say hello to Suzie and Brett and make sure to visit them on your next ride at 190 N Sappington in Glendale and grab some sammies from them! They will have just about every dietary need covered for you and taking care of those of you that elected to go “All-In” Saturday. Also grab a raffle ticket for the prizes and giveaways on Saturday!

-Camping
There’s a bath house and $15 camping in the City Park at Race HQ. It’s so good, even the race crew is camping there! Dibs on the showers….

-SAG
We will not have SAG for flat tires. Make sure your flat kit is good to go and bring some extras if needed. Remember, you pass by your car after every loop! If you have a crash or emergency, please call 911 if necessary, then call Jarrid at 314-420-0810. Cell coverage can be spotty, but I’ll be there as quick as I can.

-Everything else
Now that I don’t have to sound like anyone’s dad, let’s have some freakin fun. This is one of my favorite events of the year and I hope it is for you too. Let’s make some friends, help each other out on those tough climbs, race, ride, and be merry. Beer is on our friends at 4Hands, Specialized is sending prizes that for god’s sake I hope get here in time, Yakima hooked us up with a rack to give away. Let’s party!

The Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge is back for 2025. Continue to check this site for any updates as we close in on race day.

The twelfth annual Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge is a gravel ride where participants can tackle as many as five challenging scenic loops on the roads surrounding picturesque Hermann, Mo. This event is for any experience level, including beginners. Riders can take on as little as one loop or as many as all five. It is completely up to you!

Day One features three different loops with a total of 102.36 miles in distance and 6883 feet of climbing.

Day Two features two different loops with a total of 99.14 miles in distance and 4902 feet of climbing.

If you complete all five loops in the allotted time, you will have tackled over 11.7k feet of climbing over 200+ miles of riding, and you will be entered into the Tour of Hermann Gravel Challenge Elite Club.

*Shirts and sizing are not guaranteed for registrations after April 1st.

Perched above the Missouri River, Hermann is the birthplace of Missouri’s wine country and has been voted Missouri’s most beautiful small town.

What makes the TOH Gravel Challenge unique?
Two main reasons:

1.) The absolutely stunning views of Missouri’s wine country and the Missouri river will keep you smiling through even the toughest moments of climbing and descending the gravel roads on your bike.

2.) Perhaps even more unique is the two-day structure. Riders choose however many loops they want to complete each day. A beginner may only want to tackle the first loop on Saturday. Another rider may decide to tackle Loop One on Saturday and the first loop offered on Sunday (Loop Four). An expert may choose to try for all five loops. As long as you tackle the loops in order on the day they are offered, you can custom tailor this event to a unique challenge for yourself.

For this reason, the Tour of Hermann is a perfect precursor to Unbound, formally Dirty Kanza.

Who can participate in the TOH Gravel Challenge?

You must be able to be self-supported (mechanically, water, and nutritionally) with a working bike and a helmet. Racers under 18 must have a parent with them to sign the race liability waiver. Keep that in mind and register as quickly as you can to ensure a spot on this year’s roster.
