July 7 Short Track Race Will Not Be Re-Scheduled – Info Below

Race director Ralph Pfremmer has just released the final information on our attempts to reschedule the 7/7 Alpine Shop Short Track Dirt Crit Race. You can find the original post here.

Here’s what Ralph says:

Awards Party

First, the Kick Ass Awards Party will now take place on Saturday the 20th of August, from 3:30 PM till 6:00 PM. Dinner, beverages and awards for the winners…more. We will be in the Blackhawk room and the patio at The Wolf Public House, don’t forget to park across Clayton Road. Do not park in the neighborhood to the south. We’ll serve dinner promptly at 4:00 PM, buffet style.

We open at 6:00 PM for the general public. You can stay! — The band starts at 7:00 PM, no cover for the band, but after 6:00 PM, drinks are on you.

Refunds and How to Get Them

For those who want refunds (paid for the series and were unable to race on July 21st), you can get them anytime on Saturday August 20th at, between 10:00 AM and 6 PM, we will have a table set up during the day. I will have a list of those who are eligible and you will need to check in at a designated table.

Your refund can take place in one of two ways. You can take it in cash, 15 dollars, or donate it to the Noah Goscinski fund. The Goscinski family is an integral part of our biking community and need our support during this difficult time. The combined donation will be deposited in a memorial fund at US Bank on Monday morning. You must show up to collect a refund and/or make a donation. There will be another event on September 25th to raise money for this wonderful family in need.

Sniff…

This will conclude my involvement in the Alpine Short Track Race Series. I hope you have had as much as I have this past four years. It is time to move on, perhaps race a little more, travel a bit in July, and take on a little…less. I have enjoyed getting to know you all. Please come out and celebrate Active Living at the Wolf Public House Kick Ass Awards party on August 20th.

=====

Our thanks go out to Ralph for the job he has done developing this series of races. He has been an incredible promoter of not just cycling, but of healthy, active living in general. We have every intention of seeing the Short Track Dirt Crit Series living on for years and years to come. Come out and celebrate with us on Saturday, August 20!
